Studies in Abstraction

Habitats, Landscapes, and Pareidolia

2024–2026

Moving away from the academic conventions of traditional painting explored in Art History Reimagined and Aesop´s Fables, this series embraces intuitive abstraction: painting with my untrained hand, exploring an instinctive visual language.

I explore how people change nature, often with repeating fish images. Their altered surroundings show the new, forced habitats created by human impact. This theme became Pareidolia: layered lines that reveal marine creatures and drifting debris in watery space.
